Any Questions?
Functional wellness uses advanced diagnostics and root-cause medicine to address a broad range of chronic health concerns, while the Metabolic Makeover is a structured 12-week program specifically designed for safe, lasting weight loss.
Men and women experiencing fatigue, brain fog, weight gain, mood swings, sleep disturbances, or reduced libido may benefit from our bioidentical hormone replacement therapy or peptide therapy program.
Results vary depending on the program. Most patients begin noticing improved energy and mood within the first few weeks, with more significant changes in weight, sleep, and overall vitality building over two to three months.
Yes, and we encourage it. Many patients find that balancing their hormones or completing the Metabolic Makeover significantly enhances the results of their skin and body treatments.
Functional wellness looks for the underlying drivers of how you feel — hormone imbalances, guthealth, nutrient status, stress physiology, sleep, and metabolic function — rather than treatingsymptoms in isolation. We use in-depth lab testing and a full picture of your history, lifestyle, andgoals to build a plan that addresses root causes, not just the symptom that brought you in.
No. You can schedule directly with our team. If you're already working with a primary care provider or specialist, we're happy to coordinate care with them.
Because we want to ensure that we are the right fit for you, we will take time to discuss your current health issues, your short-term and long-term goals, and answer any questions you may have about functional health or Luminate. We will also map out what functional labs and next steps would make sense for you. This isn’t a rushed 10-minute visit—we want to truly understand you and what you are needing.
Not necessarily. Many patients use us alongside their primary care provider, OB/GYN, or other health care specialists. Think of us as the team that digs deeper into root causes, especially around gut health, hormones, metabolic health, and chronic symptoms that haven’t been fully explained. We love to be another layer of support on your health journey.
We are a cash-based clinic and do not take insurance towards payment. However, we can often use your HSA or FSA account towards functional labs, depending on your insurance carrier’s stipulations.
In addition to standard bloodwork, we often use expanded hormone panels, comprehensive thyroid testing, adrenal/cortisol testing, nutrient and micronutrient panels, mold metabolites, and gut health testing (such as stool analysis for microbiome balance, inflammation markers, and digestive function). The specific panel depends on your symptoms and goals.
This is one of the most common reasons patients come to us. Standard reference ranges are built to flag disease, not to define optimal function. We look at your results and symptoms through the lens of functional health, which aims to fully optimize your health, not just reach a predetermined number. We also use your labs to connect the dots of your entire health picture where we can have an effect on your entire being.
Turnaround depends on the specific panel — some bloodwork returns in days, while specialty gut or hormone panels can take one to three weeks. We schedule a follow-up visit to walkthrough results together and build your plan once everything is back.
We do not provide a specific diagnosis, instead we focus on a root-cause, whole-body approach that will have an effect on all systems of the body simultaneously. Many of our patients come to us after receiving a diagnosis from a physician, endocrinologist, OB/GYN, or other specialist. What we do is take a diagnosis you already have (or symptoms you are working through with another provider) and build a functional, root-cause plan around it. This would include targeted lab testing (often vastly different from the labs you may have already completed), holistic nutrition, lifestyle strategies, and—where appropriate—therapies like bioidentical hormones or peptides to enhance how you feel and function day to day.
A diagnosis tells you what's happening; it doesn't always explain why, or give you a full plan for feeling better day to day. We work alongside your diagnosing provider to fill that gap — digging into the underlying drivers (gut health, hormone patterns, nutrient status, stress physiology) and building a plan that supports your specific case, rather than a generic protocol for the diagnosis on paper.
Yes. Many patients come to us with symptoms that haven't been fully explained yet. If our testing turns up something that needs a formal diagnosis or falls outside our scope, we'll refer you to the right specialist and coordinate care with them from there.
Bioidentical hormones are structurally identical to the hormones your body naturally produces (such as estradiol, progesterone, and testosterone), as opposed to synthetic or animal-derived hormone formulations. Because of this structural match, they're processed by the body along the same pathways as your own hormones.
Candidacy depends on your symptoms, lab results, health history, and goals. Common reasons patients pursue BHRT include perimenopause and menopause symptoms, low testosterone, PMS/PMDD, and hormone-related fatigue or mood changes. We determine candidacy through testing and a detailed consultation — we don't prescribe based on symptoms alone.
Yes. Hormone therapy isn't "set it and forget it" — we recheck labs periodically and adjust dosing as your body and needs change over time.
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that are naturally occurring in the body and act as signaling molecules. Different peptides are used to target different goals — including recovery, sleep quality, metabolic support, and healthy aging support. The right peptide (or combination) depends entirely on your goals and health profile.
No. Peptides and hormones work differently in the body, though they're sometimes used together as part of a broader plan. Peptides typically work by signaling the body to do something (like supporting recovery or a particular pathway), rather than directly replacing a hormone.
Most peptides used in clinical settings are administered by injection, though some are available in oral in topical forms depending on the specific peptide.
This depends on your goals, health history, and current state of health. During your consultation, we'll review your labs, medical history, and what you're hoping to address to determine whether peptide therapy is appropriate now or in the future and which peptides make sense for you.
Regulatory status varies by specific peptide — some are FDA-approved for particular indications, while others are available through compounding pharmacies under physician oversight. We're transparent with patients about the regulatory status of anything we recommend.
Our wellness programs can run anywhere from 12 weeks to 12 months.
We're here to help. If you have additional questions about our treatments, pricing, or what to expect, our team is happy to provide the answers and guide you toward the best option for your goals.
