If approved by your healthcare provider, avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, and alcohol for several days before treatment to help reduce the risk of bruising. Never stop prescription medications without your physician's guidance.

Come to your appointment with clean skin that is free of makeup, lotions, and sunscreen on the treatment area whenever possible. This helps prepare your skin for treatment.

Tell your provider about any medications, allergies, recent cosmetic procedures, dental work, or medical conditions so your treatment plan can be tailored to your individual needs.

Apply cool compresses as directed during the first 24 to 48 hours. Mild redness, swelling, tenderness, and bruising are common and should gradually improve.

Avoid rubbing, massaging, or placing excessive pressure on the treated area unless instructed by your provider. Sleep with your head elevated if swelling is present and avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and excessive heat for at least 24 hours.

Avoid makeup for the first 24 hours if recommended by your provider. Continue using gentle skincare and contact the clinic if you notice persistent swelling, increasing pain, or any unusual changes during healing.
