Radiesse® is a calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) dermal filler that restores lost volume while stimulating your body's natural collagen production over time. Following the proper pre and post treatment instructions helps minimize bruising and swelling while supporting smooth, natural looking, long lasting results.

If approved by your healthcare provider, avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, and alcohol before treatment to help reduce the risk of bruising. Never stop prescription medications without medical guidance.
Discontinue retinol, exfoliating acids, and other active skincare products for several days before your appointment to reduce skin sensitivity. Arrive with clean skin that is free of makeup whenever possible.
Inform your provider about any medical conditions, medications, allergies, recent dental work, or history of cold sores so your treatment plan can be adjusted if needed.
Apply a cold compress as directed during the first 24 to 48 hours. Sleep with your head elevated and avoid unnecessary pressure on the treated area. Mild swelling, redness, tenderness, or bruising is normal and should gradually improve.
Avoid rubbing, massaging, or applying heat to the treated areas unless instructed by your provider. Skip strenuous exercise and alcohol for at least 24 hours to help reduce swelling and bruising.
Makeup may be applied after 24 to 48 hours if the skin is no longer tender. Continue using a gentle skincare routine and avoid aggressive treatments until your provider confirms it is safe.
