Chemical Peels

Chemical Peels Aftercare Guidelines
Chemical peels improve skin tone, texture, acne, pigmentation, and signs of aging by encouraging controlled exfoliation and skin renewal. Following the proper pre and post treatment instructions helps protect your skin barrier, reduce irritation, and maximize your results.
Chemical Peels
Stop using retinol, exfoliating acids, benzoyl peroxide, and physical scrubs about one week before your peel, or as directed by your provider. This helps minimize irritation and prepares your skin for treatment.
Protect your skin from direct sun exposure and avoid tanning before your appointment. Wear a broad spectrum sunscreen daily to help reduce the risk of post treatment pigmentation.
Come to your appointment without makeup, lotions, or active skincare products. Let your provider know about any medications, recent procedures, or skin concerns before treatment.
Use only the gentle cleanser and moisturizer recommended by your provider. Your skin may feel tight, dry, or begin peeling over the next several days, which is a normal part of the healing process.
Allow peeling skin to shed naturally. Picking, rubbing, or exfoliating too soon can delay healing and increase the risk of irritation, scarring, or discoloration.
For several days after treatment, avoid strenuous exercise, hot showers, saunas, swimming pools, and products containing retinol or exfoliating acids until your provider says it is safe to resume them.
Protect Your Glow Between Treatments
Healthy daily skincare and consistent sun protection help preserve your results while supporting ongoing skin renewal. Your provider may recommend a series of peels based on your skin goals.
