Avoid retinol, exfoliating acids, benzoyl peroxide, and other active skincare products for several days before your treatment, or as directed by your provider. This helps reduce skin sensitivity and prepares your skin for treatment.

Avoid excessive sun exposure, tanning beds, and sunburn before your appointment. Apply a broad spectrum sunscreen daily to keep your skin healthy and treatment ready.

Come to your appointment without makeup, lotions, or sunscreen on the treatment area whenever possible. Inform your provider about any medications, recent skin treatments, or active skin conditions before your procedure.

Mild redness, warmth, or tightness is common after treatment. Use a gentle cleanser, apply the recommended moisturizer, and avoid touching the treated area unnecessarily while your skin heals.

For at least 24 to 48 hours, avoid strenuous exercise, hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, swimming pools, and skincare products containing retinol or exfoliating acids until your provider advises they are safe to resume.

Wear a broad spectrum SPF 30 or higher every day and avoid direct sun exposure while your skin recovers. Do not exfoliate or pick at any flaking skin, as this can interfere with the healing process.
